Sunday Night: Houston, We Have Liftoff

And we've left! After a good, rousing rout of the Little Prairie Church softball team (where I got 3 hits by the way), we came home, showered, and threw our junk in the van, setting out for our one-week speed tour of some places I've really wanted to go to. The drive wasn't really that interesting, so this blog will be pretty short. We drove a lot and then stopped and then drove some more. Yippee.

We did listen to some mix CDs that I made for the trip, which prompted some enjoyable conversations with my sister about the differences of Christian and Secular hip-hop, and helped us discover that we really like the soundtrack to Bastion, a video game with some of the best music I've heard in a game, or ever, for that matter. We also got to hear a little bit of Playdough, Secret & Whisper, Melody Gardot, Fearofdark and more. It's been fun for the first few hours, and I can't wait to get on the road again around 8 to get through Chicago and (hopefully) to Cleveland. We're in a Quality Inn in Mauston, and we're gonna get a little sleep before the drive tomorrow.

"Build That Wall (Zia's Theme)" from the Bastion soundtrack.

  2. Save travels to you all.
    I'll be reading every day.
Nice job in the game last night.
I don't know any of your music which tells me I'm pretty out of it. My grown children listen to classical music in the car, Chris listens to 60s and 70s oldies and I listen to talk radio. Sigh.
Just listened to your music file and enjoyed it. Wouldn't mind hearing more of your music.
